Scalp Popping

I’ve finally realized there’s no limit to how stupid people can be. I thought, “There’s a ceiling, right? People can only get so stupid.”

And then I heard about scalp popping.

I can barely type those words without pushing back my chair and running away from my computer.

Scalp popping was born on TikTok like a lot of other hella stupid things. You grab a hunk of your hair, or somebody else’s hair, and you yank it to make a popping sound.

The popping sound is bodily harm being done to your flesh. Or, more technically, it’s the sound of the galea aponeurotica, which is a layer of soft tissue connected to your scalp, popping off your skull.

Popping. Off. Your skull.

I think I have to lay down.

Scalp popping can cause internal bleeding or create a sore on your head. Uh, like, duh? (No, I didn’t watch the videos. No way, no how.)

The weird thing is that I once had a boss who did this to me. She insisted it would feel good, so I let her twist some of my hair around her finger and pull. She didn’t yank, per se, so it wasn’t exactly “scalp popping”, but it did make a wave of relaxation cascade from the top of my head down my body. Maybe it’s a yoga thing.

But seriously, people, when will the stupidity end? When you’re lining up like lemmings to just straight up jump from the top of a building onto the concrete below? Will that be a “challenge”?

People are morons.

Female Masking

Before I go on, I would like to emphasize that I am not shaming anybody, I am not judging anybody. If you want to marry a sex doll, more power to you. You’ll probably be happier than I was in either of my marriages.

But in the course of my second job today, I stumbled on a video featuring female maskers, and I gotta tell you, it was a lot to digest. (Here’s an example.)

Female masking is a sub-form of cross-dressing that involves, in addition to the wearing of women’s clothing…
