Was Your Amazon Purchase Shoplifted From A Drug Store?
Here’s the thing about shopping on Amazon. I don’t pay a lot of attention to who I’m buying from — my order could actually be fulfilled by Amazon, or it could come from some guy living in a box on the streets of Hong Kong.
I have no idea, and I bet no one else has any idea either.
We just want the cheapest price, and we want it to magically appear on our doorstep within the next five minutes, if not sooner.
Stuff isn’t even always delivered by those ugly, ubiquitous Amazon vans. One time my delivery person was a guy in a beat-up Toyota wearing a Hawaiian shirt.
Hey, as long as he’s got my charging cable and ramen.
Another time, I ordered some bottled aloe vera juice that I like, paid zero attention to what I was actually ordering, and ended up getting five bottles duct-taped together at a price of roughly $4 per bottle.
I really need to pay more attention.
The aloe vera thing was definitely sketchy. I don’t think it even came in a box. It just showed up looking like a bundle of dynamite from a Bugs Bunny cartoon.
