Sometimes Things Are Just Annoying

Like people writing about their 100,000 views.

Something’s been bugging me for weeks, so I’m going to vent a tiny bit.

Someone on here wrote an article about how much fun they were having watching a couple of their articles go “viral” (viral for this place, anyway).

They said they enjoyed it, not because they needed the money to survive, but because they liked their “fancy cars and fancy clothes”, or words to that effect. I definitely remember the cars.

Now, cars are way down my list of things to spend money on. Maybe this person should meet my boss, they’d get along great.

Reading that article (which only made the writer more money, by the way) irritated me as someone who actually is writing because I need the money to survive.

The whole thing had the smell of “Look at me, you plebeians. You should be honored I’m even here, wallowing in the mire with the rest of you.”

I guess my point is, I don’t understand this fascination with watching other people show off how rich they are.

I watched about two minutes of a Kardashian video on YouTube once (Khloe? Kourtney? Krazyglue? I have no idea which one it was)…
