I’m aware of guardians for incompetent wards. They help the person with their daily lives (most often in group homes), and yes, they make very little. But all of the guardians I’ve known have been dedicated to their wards and they do the job because they want to help people. We actually have a criminal client right now who’s incompetent, and we communicate with her guardian to get her to court hearings, etc.
