A Day In The Life

I Take ONE DAY Off From Work

And I miss all kinds of drama.

So yesterday, I took my mom to the dermatologist for some minor repairs. It took all day.

And while I simmered in the waiting room of the doctor’s office like a boiled potato in Omicron stew, my boss had locked himself in his office.

Physically locked himself in. With a key.

His reasoning went like this:

He leaves for Hawaii on Saturday. NOTHING MUST PREVENT HIS LEAVING FOR HAWAII.

And personally, I fully support this mission. Have fun storming the castle.

Unfortunately, late last week he got an email saying he had been exposed to Covid.

*sad trombone noise*

(Just as an aside, WHO SCHEDULES THE VACATION OF A LIFETIME DURING A PANDEMIC??)

Anyhoo, since his leaving for Hawaii supersedes all other concerns, he had locked himself in his office so that WE didn’t give HIM Covid.

Now, a normal person with that level of concern about his well-being would just stay the fuck home…
