I Got The First Moderna Shot

Here is my experience so far.

Since I know that everybody’s deeply interested in everything I have to say because I’m a Leo, I gotta tell you, I don’t feel too spiffy, fam.

I got the shot at about 2:30 p.m. yesterday. I was okay (if extra hungry, although that’s probably not related), tried to understand the movie Tenet for a few hours, failed, and finally went to bed. I woke up with a splitting headache and no desire to eat.

Clearly, I am dying.

On the plus side, my arm doesn’t really hurt, and I took the day off from work because I came down with a bad case of hating my job (also unrelated to the vaccine). I dragged myself to Starbucks and spent the GDP of a small developing nation on a venti soy caramel macchiato with extra drizzle.

(Did you know that caramel macchiatos use vanilla syrup, not caramel syrup?? This is why I have trust issues.)

I still have a headache, but I’m sufficiently caffeinated to sit upright.

But I can’t shake the image of the evil COVID soccer balls traveling through my bloodstream.

Germs didn’t use to have graphic design teams working for them. The bubonic plague didn’t have a roomful of 20-somethings at standing desks brainstorming ideas over venti lattes and avocado…
