And we're at this crest of 60 and 70-year-old men in positions of power who say to themselves, "Well, my mom knew her place, she was the archtypical female and that's how women should act." And then the younger politicians coming up have to toe the line with the old guard and nothing changes. And in today's society, only the loudest and most extreme are heard.
