And I think anti-intellectualism was fueled by an economy and a nation built on first farming and then industrial labor, all of which took hands but not brains. And now that "industry" is going to be technology-based, and you actually need a brain and an education, there's this mass uproar and defiance because the educational system hasn't kept pace.
